About Rob

Hi...I'm Rob Slater. I'm married with a 'grown and flown' family, and have been in the caring professions for nearly 30 years. Among my various appointments have been Counselling positions in NHS Primary Care, Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation, and also in the field of mental health.

I have also worked in various occupations outside counselling so I know what real-work and real-life is all about!

I come with a wealth of experience and a considerable background in a number of fields, giving me a powerful insight into the human heart, spirit and mind. Together with my training, expertise and maturity, I am equipped to provide thoroughly professional, competent and therapeutic counselling...consistently working with my Clients in their journey, through a wide range of difficult life issues - coming through to resolution, solutions, empowerment and real, life changing outcomes!

Diploma in Counselling
Professional expertise is a must-have for you in this confidence factor. To that end I'm fully and professionally qualified with a Diploma in Counselling from the University of Warwick and committed to ongoing Professional Development.

MBACP
I've also been received...not just as a member...but also as a Qualified Member of the "British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy" - entitling me to use the letters MBACP. As a Qualified Member, I fully adhere to the BACP Code of Ethics and Practice – further underling my commitment to make my service the very best for you!

Supervision
It's absolutely essential for me to be accountable and for my counselling practice to be the very best it can be for you! To ensure that I'm doing all that I can to make that happen, a senior Counsellor regularly supervises me in a totally confidential and professional arrangement.

Professional Liability Insurance
Finally - full Professional Liability Insurance with "Towergate, Professional Risks", covers my Clients and me. This cover is also a "must-have" for all serious Professional Counsellors.
